Algeria: 50 years ago, agreements of Evian were signed

About 30 000 French, conscripts and career soldiers, died in the course of these seven years from conflicts. Having quoted Algerians, the number of deaths wobbles between 500 000 and 1,5 civil and military million victims according to estimates of the historians or the Algerian State. A French government ashamed and proud

The French government envisaged no national commemoration on Monday, March 19th, to mark the 50th birthday of the cease-fire of the war of Algeria.
